How It Works

We know that just about everyone reading this (as well as those who aren't) has something in their closet that they don't wear. PersonalCloset.com is a place regular, ordinary people can buy, sell, and donate their new and lightly used clothes without the uncertainty of an auction environment, nor the extra auction-related fees that add extra expense and confusion.

Our philosophy? Keep it simple. Here's how it works:

1. Register

It's easy, and it's free. Once you have registered, simply activate your account (follow the directions in the "Welcome" email), and you're all set!

2. Activate Account

Just a click of a button. After registering, a "Welcome" email will be sent containing an activation link. Click that, and you're set.

3. Clean Out That Closet

You may now post your clothing-related items. You will be asked to describe the item, place it in a category, upload a photo, and set the price that you would like for it.

Users also have the option to "donate" an item to a non-profit affiliate of PersonalCloset.com. When a user is interested in a donated item, they have the option to "Buy Now", during which funds are transferred to the selected non-profit affiliate.

No, really, are you sure there aren't any fees? PersonalCloset.com is absolutely 100% free! We plan to use advertising to offset the maintenance costs of the site.
