One of our primary goals in designing PersonalCloset.com was keep it simple. This continues to be one of our goals in updating and improving the site. If you find something complicated, or if you need general help with something, send an email to support@personalcloset.com, and help us continue to improve the site!
Here are some common issues/questions that may come up in using the site. If you have a question about something that isn't answered below, do not hesitate to send us an email!
What kind of items can I list on PersonalCloset.com?
PersonalCloset.com is a place for clothing and clothing-related items only. As a part of our campaign to keep this simple, we wanted to limit the type of items on the site rather than have everything from old CDs to worn-out tires.
As for the condition of items, it is preferred to list only new and lightly-used items. However, as always, be clear about the condition when posting your items.
Is PersonalCloset.com another auction website?
Auction websites are fine for those who like to use them to sell their items. We just feel that you shouldn't have to pay a fee based on the selling price of your items.
How can I involve my nonprofit organization with PersonalCloset.com.
Nonprofits wishing to establish affiliation with PersonalCloset.com, please contact us at the following email address: nonprofits@personalcloset.com.
Will I receive a tax write-off when donating items to non-profit organizations?
Most nonprofit will provide a tax deduction form when donating items on PersonalCloset.com. However, you should send an email to the contact person for the non-profit in question for a more definitive answer.
How does PersonalCloset.com really operate without charging any fees?
The plan is that PersonalCloset.com will eventually host advertisements from your favorite retailers in order to offset the cost.
Why won't my image work in posting my item, or for changing the image on my item?
Unfortunately, PersonalCloset.com can only handle images that are not too large (a good rule of thumb is less than 1MB). If you have a larger image than that, we suggest that you try the Online Image Resizer. It is an easy-to-use tool that will allow you to resize your image down to a reasonable size for use on PersonalCloset.com!
